Abortion: how today's progressives advocate a return to primitive pagan practice
A reply to common counters in the debate on abortion
A few thoughts in the aftermath of the SCOTUS ruling on Roe v. Wade:
It is amazing to see the level of emotional outbursts by people opposed to the decision made by the Supreme Court. Even more amazing is the total lack of perspective and even basic knowledge.
SCOTUS did NOT rule abortion unconstitutional. It did NOT forbid/ban/abolish abortion. AT ALL.
It simply said that there is no such ‘right’ in the constitution of the United States, and that this falls under the responsibility of the individual states to regulate. Which can still allow abortion.
The many voices from Europe that decry that decision as ‘a step backwards' are strange, as well.
In most European countries (except 3), the legal limit for abortion is at 12 weeks
Commentators on Telegram noticed, as well, and this exchange is a great example:
What happened?
In the US, politicians and lobbies miscalculated, and became greedy. They wanted too much, too soon. There was talk about allowing abortion up to the point of birth, at the end of the 9 months pregnancy! And not just talk, but actual laws are proposed that would allow abortions up to the point of birth.
Look at this questioning in Virginia, where Virginia Democratic Del. Kathy Tran, sponsor of the Repeal Act, which aims to get rid of several restrictions on specifically late term abortions.
People see this, and understand that the Democrats are actively pushing for this. Abortion up to birth, including for ‘mental health’.
Even people who would be persuaded by the emotional arguments for abortion, find this a bridge too far. It unmasks that the drive is not about ‘pro-choice’, but ‘pro-abortion’, where any and all restrictions are taken away.
A fellow historian, Wes Huff, posted the following on Facebook, and it is very relevant in his conclusion:
Brothels were common place within antiquity and were often placed between houses of respected Roman families.Far from being perceived as taboo, brothels were one of the most common gathering places for Roman men. It was seen as antisocial for men not to engage in activities with prostitutes.
There are two ways archaeologists know whether a building discovered is a brothel or not.
The first is by signage — with names and prices on one side and “occupata” (“occupied” in Latin) on the reverse. Or obvious inscriptions like “cellae meretriciae” (prostitute’s cot) which marked out the purpose of the location.
The other way is the discovery of the mass graves of children.
In Roman Antiquity children were not considered real people until they were at least two. Fathers were legally allowed to kill their children without legal repercussion.
This made infanticide rabid in the ancient world. The presence of fetal and newborn skeletons in mass graves give archaeologists an indication that what they’re excavating is most likely a brothel.
There was no ethical dilemma in the ancient world with these situations because children had been fully dehumanized in antiquity. They “looked human” but were “non complere personas” (not fully persons yet), as one ancient writer put it.
Infanticidal practices were considered acceptable, justifiable, and necessary due to the lack of contraception and the adult who was (unlike children of course) a “full person” and therefore within their rights to do as they pleased.
The concept of intrinsic human value — that you have dignity, worth, and purpose by nature of simply being human — is foreign to the vast majority of human history.
It is only recently, within the Judea-Christian ethic, that the value of the human being no matter what size, stage, situation, race, gender, etc., etc., came into fruition.
The ancients had no qualms with child sacrifice because they had utterly dehumanized babies. Another reminder that societal assumptions do not equate with truth, morality, or justice.
I’m seeing a lot of very relevant conversations that both sadden and worry me. Worry me about the state of how we view human worth, dignity, and value. As a historian I spend a lot of my time reading the writings of ancient pagans and sometimes their arguments justifying their dehumanizations and sacrifices (literal sacrifices in many cases) don’t sound nearly as ancient as they ought to be.

Did you catch that?
”As a historian I spend a lot of my time reading the writings of ancient pagans and sometimes their arguments justifying their dehumanizations and sacrifices (literal sacrifices in many cases) don’t sound nearly as ancient as they ought to be.”
Look at that video from Virginia. Tell me how that is not insane?
Talking about emotional arguments: you might have seen this post circulate:
I'm not pro-murdering babies.I'm pro-Becky who found out at her 20 week anatomy scan that the infant she had been so excited to bring into this world had developed without life sustaining organs.
I'm pro-Susan who was sexually assaulted on her way home from work, only to come to the horrific realization that her assailant planted his seed in her when she got a positive pregnancy test result a month later.
I'm pro-Theresa who hemorrhaged due to a placental abruption, causing her parents, spouse, and children to have to make the impossible decision on whether to save her or her unborn child.
I'm pro-little Cathy who had her innocence ripped away from her by someone she should have been able to trust and her 11 year old body isn't mature enough to bear the consequence of that betrayal.
I'm pro-Melissa who's working two jobs just to make ends meet and has to choose between bringing another child into poverty or feeding the children she already has because her spouse walked out on her.
I'm pro-Brittany who realizes that she is in no way financially, emotionally, or physically able to raise a child.
I'm pro-Emily who went through IVF, ending up with SIX viable implanted eggs requiring selective reduction in order to ensure the safety of her and a SAFE amount of fetuses.
I'm pro-Christina who doesn't want to be a mother, but birth control methods sometimes fail.
I'm pro-Jessica who is FINALLY getting the strength to get away from her physically abusive spouse only to find out that she is carrying the monster's child.
I'm pro-Vanessa who went into her confirmation appointment after YEARS of trying to conceive only to hear silence where there should be a heartbeat.
I'm pro-Lindsay who lost her virginity in her sophomore year with a broken condom and now has to choose whether to be a teenage mom or just a teenager.
I'm pro-Courtney who just found out she's already 13 weeks along, but the egg never made it out of her fallopian tube so either she terminates the pregnancy or risks dying from internal bleeding.
You can argue and say that I'm pro-choice all you want, but the truth is:
I'm pro-life.
Their lives.
Women's lives.
You don't get to pick and choose which scenarios should be accepted.
Women's rights are meant to protect ALL women, regardless of their situation!

But Dr. Ryan Borja Catipulo saw that, and replied with actual fact and proper care. Here is his reply in full:
I am a board certified OB-GYN, medical educator and hospital administrator.Becky does NOT need an abortion. Her fetus with fatal congenital anomalies can wait for spontaneous labor. No need to induce labor. Prenatal diagnosis is not 100% sure. I have seen erroneous test results in my practice.
Susan does not need an abortion. She needs to heal from the sexual assault. She needs assistance from medical and mental health professionals to recover from her horrendous experience. Her fetus should not be killed just because the father is a rapist.
Theresa’s emergency CS due to placental abruption is NOT abortion. It is a legitimate surgical procedure to manage the premature separation of the placenta. The ethical principle of double effect makes this medical management acceptable.
Little Cathy does not need an abortion. She needs to heal from this child sexual abuse. She needs assistance from pediatricians and child psychiatrists to recover from her terrible ordeal. Her fetus should not be killed just because the father is a child rapist.
Moreover, induced abortion will further negatively impact Little Cathy’s psyche. I have managed abused girls who became pregnant. With support from family, health professionals and other concerned parties, the girls had unremarkable pregnancies and deliveries. The multidisciplinary team also assisted the girls in their recovery from the abuse.
Melissa does not need an abortion. A fetus should not be killed for reasons of finances and comfort. What will prevent Melissa from killing her older children if she cannot make ends meet?
Brittany does not need an abortion. The fetus should not be killed due to the irresponsible sexual behavior of the parents. She can opt for adoption.
Emily does not need an abortion. Sextuplet pregnancy is difficult but can be managed by specialists in Maternal and Fetal Medicine/Perinatologists. However, it should be noted that implanting 6 embryos is no longer recommended and not done anymore. The latest recommendation is to implant only 1 or 2 embryos.
Jessica does not need an abortion. She needs support. She can opt for adoption.
Vanessa needs a completion curettage to manage her early intrauterine fetal demise. This is NOT abortion because the fetus is dead already due to natural causes.
Lindsay does not need an abortion. The fetus should not be killed due to the irresponsible sexual behavior of the parents. She can opt for adoption.
Courtney does not need an abortion. She needs a salpingectomy or salpingotomy or salpingostomy to manage her ectopic pregnancy. This is NOT abortion.
PRO-LIFE means saving the lives of BOTH women AND their unborn children.
Regardless of the stories and scenarios, we should fight for the lives of all women and for the lives of all of their unborn children.
Abortion is NEVER safe because the fetus is killed!
Abortion is NOT healthcare!
Abortion is NOT a right!
In my 22 years of clinical practice as an OB-GYN, I can definitely say that there are NO situations or scenarios that warrant an abortion.
-Dr. Ryan Borja Catipulo
And please don’t fall for the very emotional appeal that they want ‘safe’ abortions. They DO NOT CARE.
From an article in FreeBeacon, titled “CNN promotes illegal abortion scheme”:
CNN host Poppy Harlow interviewed the head of Plan C, a group that connects women with unregulated overseas pharmacies that mail chemical abortion pills to the United States—an illegal practice that skirts federal regulations. Elisa Wells, the cofounder of the group, encouraged women to obtain the pills without medical supervision or follow-up visit, even though chemical abortion pills have roughly four times the complication rate of surgical abortions.
The group's website, however, admits it "cannot guarantee" the illegal pharmacies it refers "will be reliable."
In that interview on CNN, the head of Plan C answered, when asked
”Well, sure, in an ideal world, of course, we would want people to be completely transparant with their [health care] providers, but we are not in an ideal world, right now. We are in a situation where laws are injustly restriction access to care that people still need. Abortion is basic, normal health care. It should be available through clinics, through telehealth and even through self-managed care in all 50 states.”
No, let’s not follow the laws we deem ‘unjust’, and even promote ‘self-managed care’ of abortions, ignoring that even normal abortions are not without risk, that you are disrupting a biological event that involves the whole body of the mother, that this puts women in actual danger.
The coat hanger they refer to, as sign of unsafe and dangerous practices women are forced to take if abortion were banned, is just that: an emotional token to rally behind. Even if they get their way, they want to allow people to ‘self-manage’ their own abortions, without proper medical supervision, care and assessment. What could go wrong?
And all their talk about ‘viability’ and ‘clumps of cells’ and all the tragic rare cases are just rethoric, when you see how they would allow abortions, if they would get their way, right up to the moment of birth of fully viable, perfect babies, for reasons of ‘mental health’ of the mother. Which means: any reason whatsoever.
People start asking questions now.
WHY?
Why that push towards even the point of birth?
Some would say because the whole abortion industry is satanic, demonic, plain evil.
Not denying that, but for most people that is NOT what drives them.
Money is.
Late term abortions provides larger and better formed organs and tissues, more valuable for extraction and use in experiments and production of other drugs and such.
It is as horryingly simple as that.
This is a battle of ideologies. How we view the world we live in, and how we view each other, how we define ‘humanity’ (and even morality!). But that is a whole different topic, for a next article (currently working on my research and reading for this one, stay tuned, it will be a big and important one!)
Either way, even if SCOTUS did not ‘end’ abortion, but only relegated it to the individual states, this is an important victory in our attempts to roll back this inhumane practice.
We need to roll back a wide cultural malaise, as well, and take back a more healthy look on women, sex, men, relations, children. (Read ‘On Abortion’ for a much more detailed and stirring explanation, and share it where you can!)
People who focus on death and destruction cannot win this, on the long term. As long as our own focus is on life and building a proper future, we cannot lose. Life is too stubborn and strong.
All is well.
thank you brother for writing more articles to expose the truth about the ancient/current practice of sacrificing children to Baal/Moloch!
AGR, this is one of your best essays, especially having Dr. R.B. Catipulo list correspondig excellent MEDICAL rebuttal solutions for each of the hackneyed pro-choice arguments we've had to suffer since 1971.
My observations:
1--The end of Roe v Wade ended the p r e t e n d i n g that abortion is not murder by mother and sanctioned government abortionist. No different than current totalitarian Chinese organ harvesting from persecuted Uighurs minorities. Actually, infantacide is worse since their death is 100% whereas Uighurs could possibly live on as handicapped.
2--All the specious pro-choice arguments never address the mother's psychological trauma a f t e r the abortion. Doesn't matter the reason,. Post-partum depression, not exclusive to aborted delivery btw, is a statistical fact that can scar these women for a lifetime. Another case of the "cure abortion' is worse than the "illness pregnancy."
3--Have you noticed a preponderence of these radical feminists insisting on R v W are down right
U G L Y? Imho they suffer from self-loathing, self-harming issues so they trash the beauty of motherhood and God's creation of the spark of Life because they are hurting for love of self.
Misery loves company. Preaching women's rights is their C O N.
